1Cor. 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.
Psa. 22:3 Yet You are holy, You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.
Psa. 81:2 Raise a song, strike the tambourine, The sweet sounding lyre with the harp.
God, who created heaven and earth and rules over all things, is the only one who deserves our praise and worship. The Lord delights in our heartfelt gratitude and praise, and He lives upon that praise. We can praise and worship the Lord in various ways, like raising our voices, raising our hands, singing, being still, using musical instruments, and clapping our hands. More important than the outward form is our heart. People look at outward appearances, but the Lord looks at our heart. Let us offer worship to God, who sees our hearts.
Acts 2:46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,
Matt. 18:19-20 “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
We are grateful that we can worship God and fellowship with our brothers and sisters not only at church but also at home. At Sonrise, during the week, we have fellowship, worship, and prayer times at members' homes. As the Bible says, "Bear one another's burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ," the Lord is there when we share one another's burdens and pray for one another.
Psa. 84:1-2 How lovely are Your dwelling places, LORD of armies! My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the LORD; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
Friday night is a time to long for and seek the Lord's presence, His face, and His voice.
