Love
2026/8/30 Today’s prayer leader chose “Love” as the theme for our prayer time.
She shared that in her daily morning prayer, she starts with thanksgiving based on John 3:16, specifically thanking God for His love.
“Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for loving us so much as to send Your Beloved Son. Thank you for sending Him to the cross to save all of us from our sins.”
She is someone who loves serving people with her hospitality. She said that if someone thinks her food is delicious, that’s because she has an important secret ingredient. That ingredient is love. She adds her love to what she cooks while she prepares her food.
She cooks with great care and mindfulness, praying to heavenly Father to bless her cooking so that the food will be 100 % healthy, nutritious and delicious for everyone who eats it.
She encouraged us that it doesn’t have to be just cooking for someone but the same way, whatever we do, whether it’s working at our work place, doing chores at home, or helping someone with something, we should do it with love, asking God to bless our hands.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
